Floral foam is so often the hidden core that give support to floral design and arrangements. In essence, this mossy green material mimics the shape it is pushed into - a moldable foam that is equally functional as a vessel as the vase it sits in.

With this collection, I invert the process. What was hidden is brought to the fore, becoming a prominent centre piece to a new design. I worked with the limitations of the foam block to create indented versions of second-hand vases. Brittle by nature, I carefully press the vases into the foam to imprint a replica, a hollowed negative space left behind - a new function is created through this impression.
